Where did all the Dubs go?

i`ve made a few posts about how much the dubs work my neighbourhood.you`d see them at least 2 or 3 times a month,sometimes more,going up and down our street.this has been going on for over 10 years.they avoided my house like the plague.i wonder why?

(lol)last month not a single dub,this weekend not a single dub.where`d they all go?is any one else missing dubs from their neighbourhood?has the un-scandel and or silent lambs scandel got them hiding out.they`ve sure taken a beating lately,they must be getting chewed-out at the door on a regular basis now...outlaw

There were some yesterday by my place. I went to the store first then stopped at a yard sale on the way back. It was a couple doors down from where they were parked. There was some what of a commotion and one of the JW ladies was saying "What should I do? What should I do?"
Apparently someone had stolen her car. The one lady ended up taking here some where. I wasn't there long enough to see if the police came or anything. Maybe it was towed or something. I felt alittle sorry for her.

I saw a white haired old man with the same group walking up to a house, the first thing that came to mind was "I wonder if he is a pedifile?" Thats pretty sad. I sure alot of people are wondering the same thing.

PRECIOUS THE CAT

my jw neighbors were just young, 18...... when they got married.. they had cats and dogs.... soon the pressures of life, and being a jw took effect, and they seperated,,,,,,,,,, the girl left precious, her cat behind.......it was a better place for her here.. precious was heatbroken...... she was never the same.. it's been around ten years now, ...... and in the last few years, my nieghbor didn't have much time for precious anymore.. so she started hanging around me, over here most of the time.. i buried her just now,...... in my backyard, where she laid down and died.. i hate death,...... it brings back memories of what 2 young beautiful people wanted....... love happiness......pets.. goodbye precious......... i learned alot from you..... i wish i would have given you more love.

He Loves Me After All!

this is a story about the heart-pounding rollercoaster ride of buying a house and how i saw the proof that god really does love me.. some of you, especially newer ones, probably don't know that when i left the organization in 1987, i left still believing that the organization was the true religion, which meant, since i couldn't stay in it and keep my sanity, that jehovah didn't want me.

after 12 years of trying as sincerely as is possible to get his help with what was wrong, i gave up and quit, and literally prayed to jehovah saying, "it's obvious that you don't intend to help me; therefore i can only assume you don't want me.

i can't find the words that would express how grateful i am for all the support, not only for all of you to back me on the dateline show but for my trial as well.

i don't think i would have had the courage to go through the trauma if it wasn't for all your prayers and encouragement.

dateline was a huge help for many and i know this because i have recieved quite a few calls, one from a current jdub who wants out for the safety of his 16 month old baby, i was so excited that he lifted the veil and saw it for the pure truth that it was.

And about the cross. Not to worry. Thanks to "puffs" I took alittle look at some pyrimid pictures in front of Brother TC Russells grave.
There it was pretty as could be A CROSS in a crown, right above the words "Watchtower Bible & Tract Society". Now according to the story the pyrimid was designed and had made as a memorial to T.C. and what he believed by the "ORIGINAL" brothers. They started this whole mess of a cult. Apparently in the beginning they were "FRIENDS" with ALL RELIGIONS. T.C. & Friends, took "THE BEST" from the religions and did
it the best. These were avid bible studiers. If they had a problem with the cross I think it would have come out in the beginning. But there it is carved in granite for all eternity or Armeggedon which ever comes first. The witnesses have lost their love for anything including people. GOD is love. I can't see him being too happy with them.

I watched the show twice and still didn't notice your cross. I'll have to go back and check it out.

I'll do what I can to help you out, out :).
You may have to sort it out yourself tho, because I'm not sure how it falls in total, with your explainations.

I believe in capital punishment. If someone has taken anothers life for there own purpose, I don't think it is immoral to put them to death. My biggest problem is that we feed them for 20 years before we do it. Not very cost effective. I also think that the nice humane, sterile process is too kind for many of them. I think that what they did should be done back to them. Eventually I think crimes might get a little less brutal with a person sitting for 20 years knowing how they will die. Hopefully they were kind to their victims. Don't worry someone would volunteer to do it.

I do not think it is immoral to pull the plug on someone. Or stop feeding them. Remember Karen Ann Kwinlen??? (sp) They fought for years to get her off life support. She lived for a few more years if I'm not mistaken. It wasn't her time yet.

I believe in assisted suicide. If someone is very ill and suffering terribly I believe they have a right to go. If they can't do it them selves I don't think it is immoral for someone to assist them. I had an elderly neighbour who had heart trouble. He was always out working in his yard. I learned CPR so I could try and save him if the need arose. After talking over the fence to him for a couple years I knew that man would not want to be saved. I have to say if I saw him go down, I would have waited a few minutes before going to him. I don't think that would have been immoral. The need never arose so I wasn't tested but he got so bad and wanted out so badly he stopped eating and starved to death. I loved that old man.

Here's the part I'm not too sure of. There can be a such a fine line between Euthanasia and Murder. It may come down to would they want to be here. The purpose of living is not to just exist. Living in a coma is not living. Living in aggony is not living. Hopfully we know the wishes of someone. If you don't know then it may be immoral. An adult JW wishing not to receive blood and they die, it is not immoral. A JW infant or child not being able to receive blood and they want to live but they die, that is immoral. To me that is IMMORAL Euthanasia.

I wish I could express myself as near as well as alot of people on here can. But this is as good as it gets. Hope this helps you some.

never mind i.q.s, here is a link to an intelligence quiz that ought challenge some, while i expect some of us 'postates to ace it.

hint: it relies on common sense a lot.. i scored 10 out of 11 myself and kick myself for missing the one i did.

some may have already seen this, but don't spoil it for the current dubs that i expect to fail it miserably.

JW Kids - More Frightened Than Most?

ive recently been in contact with a couple of ex-jws that i knew in my childhood.. what has surfaced is the amount of fear that we experienced as young children when we were involved with the witnesses.

i accept that children often do develop irrational fears as part of growing up, but what i am talking about here is a deep-seated fear of being harmed.. many young children that i grew up with in the witness religion were of an unusually nervous disposition.

i recall how when i was first taken to meetings that i found the whole experience somewhat sinister and strange.

Hilda the difference with the "worldly" kids being afraid is that they can see what they should be afraid of. JW kids are terrified of things they can't see. It is deep with in, you can't hide from it. The mean God who is going to kill everyone. Having to make sure you are perfect enough not only for your own concience but everone elses in the cong.
It is a very very heavy burden for a kid. Thousands of hours sitting for 2 hrs. being perfect. Sit straight. Stop figgeting. I remember countless times being drug up the isle by my arm begging noooo. I was off to the bathroom to get a spanking, for figgeting. Little kids can't sit that long listening to things they don't understand. I couldn't even read then.
I was petrified of Armeggedon. Storms scared me. The dark scared me.
Loud noises scared me. I had panic attacks at 8 yrs. old. I go in and out of them to this day and I've been out of the Borg. for 28 yrs. I have had years of counciling and medicine to cope. I am defective. The things I needed to learn as a kid to cope were not taugh. Quite the opposite. I have no self esteem to this day. I am unworthy. I am unlovable. I am not perfect. I am intolerate. I am judgemental. I only have conditional love. I don't know how to feel loved. I am angry for who I might have been. I'm tired of the battles in my head.
Kids know cig. & drugs hurt you. Sex gets you pregnant. They have a healthy fear. You can't fight, defend or protect your self from the unseen.
Just for the record all the "BAD" things I did when I was growing up I learned from my good little JW friends that I had to play with because I could'nt associate with worldly kids. They aren't better, just sneakier. I had no birthdays, no christmas's, nothing to say I was special in any way. I hated every minute of the time I was a JW kid. I vowed to never put a kid of mine through that.
My grandmother raised me. When she died a few years back I was free to try and find the God I knew in my heart Loved me and ANYONE who loved him no matter what faith they had. I am happy to say that after many years of God not giving up on me, when I had given up on HIM, me and God have a good thing going. I talk to HIM all the time now. I have been going to a church that suits me. They hand out food, & drinks and anything else someone in need, might need. I am finding my GOD to be loving an generous he wants us to be happy and loving and helpful.

All I can say is most of the JW's I have ever known are unhappy. GOD is crying for them, me too. But I am still bitter about it all and may always be. "Just Get Over It" not likely!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am grateful for this board, for many years I have just wanted to talk about this to someone who understood. Now I have hundreds of people who understand my fear. Thank you all for listening.

Happy snakes & simple pleasures....

the other day at work i saw two harmless brown water snakes in a pool of water.

the pool was fed by two large pipes that allow a stream to pass under a road.

the water drops a couple feet from the pipe to the pool.

My simple pleasure is.............
Sitting and watching a beautiful sun rise or sun set.
I am the closest to God then, and never fail to thank HIM for
his wonderful art work. They are such beutiful pictures in
motion. Ever changing.
Also I like sitting on my front porch just before dawn with
a cup of coffee and listen to the birds wake up.
